In order to set up or enable multi-factor authentication for your user account, you must already be logged in to Cantook Hub.

To enable SMS multi-factor authentication, you simply need to provide Cantook Hub with the phone number you wish to use and then validate it.

  1. Go to Profile > Users
  2. Click on the pencil icon to the right of the user name
  3. Click on the Securitey tab
  4. Click the Enable SMS authentication button
  5. Enter the phone number where you want to receive text messages (including the country code)

This must be a mobile phone number, not a landline.

  6. Click on the Send a verification code by SMS button. The platform sends a text message containing a 6-digit verification code

The verification codes sent by SMS are valid for 10 minutes. After this period, you must request a new code to be sent.

  7. Once you have received the verification code on your phone, enter it in the Verification code received by SMS field

  8. Click on the Activate button. SMS authentication is now activated for your account. The platform displays a page with 16 emergency codes.

Keep these codes in a safe place, in a password management application: they are your only way to log into your account if you do not have access to your authentication application.

Multi-factor authentication takes effect immediately. From now on, each time you log in, Cantook Hub will ask you to enter a verification code you received by SMS.

Changing the phone number

If you have already enabled SMS multi-factor authentication, and you want to change the phone number used by this authentication method, proceed as follows.

  1. Go to Profile > Users
  2. Click on the pencil icon to the right of the user name
  3. Click on the Security tab
  4. Click the Change phone number button
  5. Enter the new phone number where you want to receive text messages (including the country code)

  6. Enter the password you use to log in to the platform
  7. Click on the Send a verification code by SMS button. The platform sends a text message containing a 6-digit verification code
  8. Enter the code you received in the Verification code received by SMS field

  9. Click on the Activate button

The change takes effect immediately. From now on, the verification code will be sent exclusively to the new phone number.

You cannot disable multi-factor authentication completely. At most, if you have both authentication modes enabled, you can disable either one of them, but not both. If you are unable to log in to your account, please contact the helpdesk (help@demarque.com) or your account manager.
