Suspension via the library's ILS
The above procedure applies to the revocation of a patron's access rights directly from the digital library. If your digital library uses an integrated library system (ILS) to authenticate patrons, and a patron is suspended according to the information in the ILS, then the ILS will send us a message prohibiting the patron from logging in to the digital library service on their next attempt. If the patron has configured their browser to remain logged in, or if they are using the mobile application, the revocation of their access may not be immediate. It will only take effect on their next login, i.e. the next time they communicate with the ILS.
For the revocation to take effect immediately, it is therefore necessary to revoke access rights directly from the digital library, as described above.
