The Hide patrons' identity and history feature allows, after the indicated period, the identity of patrons to be removed from loan and hold information in the administration site. This information will no longer appear in the patron's history. Patrons can override this setting to keep their information available by checking Keep history in their Account information. 

To enable the feature:

  1. Go to the Organization section, under the Libraries tab.
  2. Click on the Edit button at the top right.
  3. In the Settings section, check the Hide patrons' identity and history box.

Grouping of libraries

If you are a library manager who is part of a grouping that controls the various settings related to loan and hold limits, you will not be able to access this section. The feature must be enabled by the grouping administrators for all of its libraries.

Two new settings are displayed when the box is checked:

  • Hiding activation time (in months): time spent after the loan or hold for the patrons' identity and their history to be removed (minimum 1 month).
  • Start date: effective date of hiding process. To start the process right away, put today's date.
