Editing library details

In this section, you can enter the library's name, website address, Facebook page, Twitter account, email address and technical support phone number, change the library's logo and add the Google Analytics tracking ID.

To add or edit your library's logo, click the Choose file button in the Logo used for website and email section and select the desired file on your computer. Then click on the Save button at the bottom of the page.

The logo will be displayed in a space of 340 pixels wide by 110 pixels tall, maximum. To ensure optimal display quality, you should use an image with twice this resolution. For example, for a logo that is 210 pixels wide by 110 pixels tall, your original image would have to be 420 pixels by 220 pixels.

Google Analytics Tracking ID

Google Analytics is an external tool to the platform. It allows you to follow the behaviour of patrons in their interaction with your digital library and to know which pages are most accessed. You will be able to know, for example, the number of patrons and where they come from, the number of returning patrons, the average time spent on each page of the website, etc.

If you already use Google Analytics, simply enter the Google Analytics tracking ID as it appears in your account on the Google Analytics website.

If you are not already using Google Analytics and are interested in this tool, you can sign up at https://www.google.com/analytics. You will then only need to enter your Google Analytics tracking ID in the form.

Address

The physical contact details of the library, as well as its general telephone number, can be entered here.

Configuration

Loans per patron

The number of loans per patron represents the maximum amount of simultaneous loans allowed for one patron. This includes loans that are active but have note yet been retrieved, i.e. loans that have not yet been downloaded.

Holds per patron

The number of holds per patron represents the maximum number of simultaneous holds allowed for one patron. This includes both available and not yet available holds.

Availability period (in hours)

The availability period is the time interval between the borrowing of a copy by a patron and the downloading of that copy. If a borrowed copy is not downloaded by the end of the availability period entered in this field, it becomes available again in the library catalogue for other patrons.

Lending period

The lending period is the period during which a loan is valid, after which it expires so that the borrowed copy becomes available to other patrons.

Availability period for a hold

When a held copy becomes available for loan, it is set aside for the first patron on the waiting list. The availability period for a hold entered here (in hours) is the time interval between the allocation of the copy to the first patron in the queue and its download by that patron. After that time period, the copy is set aside for the next patron in the queue or becomes generally available for loan again.

Waiting days before a notification

The hold alert in the dashboard can be customized via this setting, which indicates the number of days to wait before a title becomes available. All titles with holds exceeding this period will be displayed in the alerts.

Licence usage percentage before notification

The percentage usage notification for a copy can be customized using this setting. When usage of a copy exceeds the specified percentage, it is displayed in the alerts. The usage of a copy refers to its conditions of use and more specifically to its maximum number of loans.
