Loans per patron

The number of loans per patron represents the maximum amount of simultaneous loans for one patron. This includes both active and unrecovered loans, i.e. loans that have not yet been downloaded by the user.

Holds per patron

The number of holds per patron represents the maximum number of holds a patron can have at any one time. This includes both holds not yet available as well as those available for loan.

Availability period (in hours)

The availability period is the time interval between the borrowing of a copy by a patron and the downloading of that copy. If the copy has not been downloaded by the end of the period entered in this field, it is returned to the catalogue to become available for other patrons.

Loan duration

The loan duration is the period during which a loan is valid, and after which it expires and the copy becomes available to other patrons.

Hold availability period (in hours)

When a held copy of a publication becomes available for loan, it is set aside for the patron who is first on the waiting list. The hold availability period is the time interval between the allocation of the copy to the first patron on the waiting list and its download. This period is represented by the number of hours entered in this field, after which the copy becomes available to the next patron on the waiting list or is returned to the general catalogue.

Waiting days before a notification

The hold notification in the dashboard can be customized via this setting, which indicates the number of days to wait before a title becomes available. All publications with holds exceeding this period will be displayed in the notifications.

Licence usage percentage before notification

The licence usage percentage notification can be customized using this setting. When a copy of a publication exceeds the specified usage percentage, it is displayed in the notifications. The usage of a copy refers to its conditions of use and more specifically to the maximum number of loans allowed.
