Metadata describing the accessibility of publications can be documented within the platform. The supported metadata are those available in the EDItEUR ONIX standard (list 196).

Managing accessibility metadata through the interface

The Metadata > Accessibility section of the publication screen displays, for each digital format:

  • A list of checkboxes, one for each metadata;
  • An optional text field (maximum 255 characters) if applicable, for additional information elements.

Importing accessibility metadata

Accessibility metadata can be imported using ONIX 3, ONIX 2.1 or dynamic Excel format files.

Upon importation, the accessibility options stored in a metadata file will override any corresponding option for the given format.

In order to be saved, accessibility options must be valid; an unrecognized or invalid accessibility code will generate a warning in the importation task and will be ignored.
