Reading a publication
You can access your publications in the Home and My Books sections of the app.
The Home section organizes your publications into different lists:
- Expiring soon: the loans that are due within the next 7 days.
- Currently reading: the publications and samples that have been downloaded and opened in the application.
- Recently added: the publications and samples that have been downloaded into the application, but not yet opened.
[Library name]: the publications borrowed or reserved from a library connected to the application.
- Browse Feedbooks: a selection of publications that you can purchase from the Feedbooks bookstore. Several free public domain books are also available on this library.
The My Books section shows all your publications. Press the triangle icon at the top right of the screen to filter them using predefined criteria or to change the display and sorting options.
Opening a publication
- Go to the Home or My Books section of the application.
- Tap the cover image of the desired publication. It will open on the last page read, or on the first page if you're starting the book.
Checking your reading progress
- Tap towards the center of the current page to access the reading menu.
In addition to the cover image, title and author of the current publication, the reading menu shows your reading progress by displaying the percentage read and number of the current and last position.
Adding a bookmark
To add a bookmark to the current page:
- Tap towards the center of the page to display the reading menu.
- Tap Add a bookmark.
Browsing a publication
Turning the pages
You can turn the pages of a publication in 3 ways:
- By swiping from left to right.
- By tapping on the left or right side of the screen.
- By pressing the volume buttons on your device (+ for previous page, - for next page).
- This feature must first be activated:
- Display the playback menu by tapping towards the center of a page.
- Tap More options.
- Tap Reading options.
- Activate Turn pages with volume buttons.

Accessing the table of contents
You can go back to the table of contents of the current publication at any time, and from there jump to any sections of the publication:
- Tap towards the center of the page to display the reading menu.
- Tap Table of contents.
- Tap the desired section.
Accessing your bookmarks
You can browse the current publication at any time using your bookmarks:
- Tap towards the center of the page to display the reading menu.
- Tap More options.
- Tap Bookmarks.
- Tap the desired bookmark.
Accessing your annotations
You can access the annotations added to the current publication at any time:
- Tap towards the center of the page to display the reading menu.
- Tap More options.
- Tap Annotations.
- Tap the deisred annotation.
Going to position
Unlike a print publication, a digital publication's page length vary depending on screen size and display options. Its contents are therefore numbered using position numbers rather than page numbers, but the numbers work in the same way: each one refers to a specific location in the publication. (In publications having a fixed layout, such as comic books, the position numbers corresponds to the page numbers of the print version.)
You can browse the current publication at any time using position numbers.
- Tap towards the center of the page to display the reading menu.
- Tap More options.
- Tap Go to position.
- Enter the desired position number.
- Press the Go button.
Leaving the current publication
You can leave the current publication at any time and return to the previous page in the application:
- Tap towards the center of the page to display the reading menu.
- Tap More options.
- Tap Back.
Customizing display
The user settings screen allows you to customize several display settings.
- Tap towards the center of the page to display the reading menu.
- Tap User Settings.
- Adjust the desired settings from those available:
- Theme. You can select one of the predefined themes, or customize your own by selecting the ... option.
- The available predefined themes are:
- Default (black text on white background or white text on black background, depending on your system preferences).
- Light (black text on white background).
- Dark (white text on black background).
- Sepia (black text on tan background).
- The available predefined themes are:
- Text Size. Increase or decrease font size by pressing the - or + button.
- Margins. Increase or decrease margin size by pressing the - or + button.
- Font. Tap the Font option and select the font of your choice from those available.
- Brightness. Tap the Brightness icon and move the slider to the desired brightness level.
- Text layout. Several option buttons allow you to change the following text layout parameters:
- Line spacing
- Text alignment
- Letter spacing
- Word spacing
- Or you can check the Original formatting box to apply all the predefined settings at once.
- Theme. You can select one of the predefined themes, or customize your own by selecting the ... option.
Setting reading options
The Reading Options screen allows you to enable or disable the following options:
- Display current position. When this option is activated, the current position number appears at the bottom of the screen.
Turn pages with volume buttons. When this option is activated, you can turn the pages of the current publication by pressing the volume buttons on your device (+ for previous page, - for next page).
