You may borrow any publication listed in the online catalog of a library to which you are subscribed, provided that the publication is not already on hold.

In addition to the mention Available, a publication's detail page indicates its availability by the presence of the button Borrow (whereas the button Place a hold is displayed for publications that are not currently available for loan).

  1. Tap the cover image of the desired publication.
  2. In the publication's detail page, tap the Borrow button. A confirmation screen will show you the expiration date of the loan, and will offer you to download the publication to your device.
  3. Tap the Download button.
  4. Tap the Read button that appears on the right of the screen when the download is complete. The ebook opens at the first page and you can start reading.

Note that borrowed publications are available in the Home and My Books sections of the application.

Activation period

Libraries usually require that a digital loan be activated within a certain time frame. To activate a loan in the application, simply open the borrowed publication. You must open a borrowed publication before the deadline specified by the library expires. Otherwise, the publication will be removed from the My Books section and become available for loan to the next user on the waiting list.
