This section allows you to customize your catalogue and highlight certain items in your collection.

Featured selections

Featured selections are used to group together publications having a common theme. These selections can be activated to be viewed in the Selections page of the patron-facing library website, or can be displayed directly on its home page. You can add new selections, as well as modify or delete existing ones.

Home page sections

The home page sections allow you to customize the content of the home page of the patron-facing site of your library.

You can add 3 types of sections to the home page:

  • a home page banner,
  • a featured selection carousel,
  • the content of a featured selection.

Home page banners

This section allows you to create and manage the banners displayed on the home page of the patron-facing site. Banners are a clickable image, along with a title which redirects to the desired page.

Featured selection carousel

This section allows you to designate a set of featured selections that will appear in a rotating carousel on the home page of the library website. Patrons can then click on the carousel's image to access the details of the featured publications within each selection.

Home page featured selections

This section allows you to add or delete a featured selection whose content will be displayed on the home page of the patron-facing website. The publications included in the featured selection will be displayed in a row that patrons can scroll through at will.

Librarian reviews

Managers and librarians can post reviews about a publication to be displayed on its detail page. Each review will be posted under the name of the manager or librarian who wrote it and will be visible to all patrons. This is an interesting tool for promoting certain publications in the library's digital catalogue. By default, the five most recent reviews are displayed on the home page.

The Librarian reviews tab displays all reviews by librarians in the organization. They can be edited and deleted from there as well. It is also possible to display only the reviews made by a particular librarian by clicking on one of the authors listed in the left-hand section.

Other curation features

The following curation features are not found in the administration site of the digital library, but are available in the public catalogue for users logged in as managers or librarians.
