Alerts

Two types of alerts are available. For more information click on the Show all button.

Hold alerts

Hold alerts indicate titles whose total hold duration for a format exceeds the configured number of days. To change this number of days, go to Organisation > Edit.

For each title, the ISBN, the format, the number of copies of this format (Quantity) and the hold's expiry date for this format of the publication are displayed. This date is the next availability date for the publication in this format, all copies included. This estimate assumes that each hold will be converted into a loan of  the maximum configured duration. In other words, this date is calculated according to the following formula:

Number of holds for this format ÷ Number of copies for this format × Maximum duration of a loan

Usage alerts

Copy usage relates to a copy's terms of use, and more specifically to the maximum allowed number of loans.

A copy usage notification indicates that a copy's usage percentage has exceeded the percentage specified in the settings (see section Organization > Edit). It is therefore possible to receive several notifications on a single title.

You can see the usage percentage, the ISBN, the format, the current number of loans, and the loan limit for each copy.

Only actual copy usage is considered when calculating the total number of loans; holds on copies are not taken into account for this notification.

This alert allows new copies to be added before the existing copies run out. However, purchasing new copies does not deactivate the alert for existing copies. To do this, click on the Hide button next to the desired alert.
