As a user, you can submit and manage your publications, title by title or in batches, to be offered to the Kobo or Kobo Audio subscription service: Kobo Plus. Here are the steps to follow.
Making a publication available on Kobo Plus
Go to the Publications tab.
Click on the desired publication.
In the left-hand menu, click Market > Kobo or Kobo Audio.
Under Subscription service - Kobo Plus, click the Activate button. (If you want to make the publication unavailable for Kobo Plus later, click the Disable button.)
Click Save. A single publication is sent to Kobo Plus automatically,whereas a batch of publications need to be sent manually. (See Sending publications to Kobo Plus below.)
In Cantook Hub, a subscription service active or inactive status for a publication represents the desired status, as configured by the user, and not the actual availability of the publication in the service.
Making multiple publications available on Kobo Plus
Go to the Publications tab.
Check each of the desired publications.
Under Search Options, click the gear icon.
Select the Externals option.
From the drop-down menu, select Kobo or Kobo Audio.
Select Enable the Kobo Plus subscription service. (If later you want to make publications unavailable to Kobo Plus, simply select Disable the Kobo Plus subscription service).
Click Execute.
In the ONIX files generated for Kobo, the subscription service availability is indicated by a new tag for each publication: <SalesRestrictionType>.
Sending publications to Kobo Plus
Unlike activating Kobo Plus for a single publication, activating it for a batch of publications does not trigger automatic delivery. That is, simply making your publications available in Cantook Hub does not trigger an update to Kobo. To do so, you need to trigger it manually. Here is how to do it.
Go to the Publications tab.
Check all desired publications.
Under Search Options, click on the gear icon.
Select the Externals option.
From the drop-down menu, select Kobo or Kobo Audio.
Select Send files (if necessary) and metadata.
Click Execute.
Searching for publications where Kobo Plus is active or inactive
Go to the Publications tab.
Click the green + sign to the right of Search Options. A first drop-down menu appears.
Select Exportation - Subscription service. A second drop-down menu appears.
Select Kobo - Kobo Plus or Kobo Audio - Kobo Plus. A third drop-down menu appears.
Select Enabled or Disabled.
Click the green check mark icon.
You'll see a list of publications for which the Kobo Plus subscription service is active or inactive.
