The quality of metadata and formats is essential, both to optimize the visibility and discoverability of your publications and to provide your readers with an optimal reading experience. By adopting good habits when producing your files and entering your metadata, you give your publications the best chance of reaching their audience.

The more documented your book is, the better it ranks on reseller sites. When metadata is poorly documented, the book may not end up in the right sections.

If the automatic upload option is enabled, your publication will be put online once the basic metadata has been provided. Otherwise, you will have to upload it manually, by switching it from Offline to Online using the button at the top left of each publication's detail screen. An orange dot means that the publication is offline, and a green one means that the publication is online.
