When you change the default options for publications, your changes only apply to the publications that are added after that change.
Applying default settings to all publications
Go to Metadata > Publication Options.
On the General tab, choose the default language and the original language using the arrow buttons.
If you wish, in Formats > PDF, check the box Extract back cover from file.
Click on Save.
Selecting the protection to apply by default to all publications
Go to Metadata > Publication Options.
Under Security > Default security level, select the type of protection using the arrow buttons.
Check the options for the selected protectio (Watermark or ACS4).
Click on Save.

If the catalogue is open for library lending, the ACS4 time-limited protection is systematically applied to all files in the catalogue, regardless of the default option selected.
File protection schemes (watermarks or ACS4) are used to protect publications sold in bookstores. Retailers such as Apple, Amazon, Kobo, etc. usually have their own protection schemes.
Defining options for automatic samples or flipbook
Go to Metadata > Publication options.
Under the Marketing tab, check all desired boxes.
Click on Save.
When this option is enabled, a sample of each publication is automatically generated, and becomes available for download in the Metadata > Media section of each publication.
