The reference price is the price that already exists for a publication and that the platform will use to automatically generate the desired new prices.
When you add a price to a publication, you must provide some information.
You'll namely have to provide the criteria that the reference price needs to meet to enable the platform to find the corresponding price in each publication concerned.
The following elements need to be defined:
- the currency;
- the territory associated with the currency;
- whether it is the price is for the general public or restricted for libraries;
- whether to use the regular price only or the promotional prices as well.
In the example below, the reference price is:
- in Canadian dollars;
- for Canada;
- for the general public only;
- the regular price only (temporary prices are excluded).
