The pricing policy tool allows you to generate prices in different currencies automatically using a custom template. Unlike the dynamic pricing policy, which converts the reference price by rounding, the pricing policy allows you to create a 100% custom template that you can use over and over again.

When creating a pricing policy you have to provide the following information:

  • The name of the policy
  • The reference amount (amount and currency)
  • Prices to be generated by territory and currency

Once completed, click on Save.

To apply this pricing policy, go to Metadata > Sales and click the Apply Policy button.

Example

You have several publications with a selling price of $14.99 CAD and you want to create a template so that the prices are automatically generated.

  • Name: Title at $14.99 
  • Reference amount: $14.99 CAD
  • Prices to be generated
  • Canada: $14.99
  • Europe: €11.99
  • Switzerland: CHF 11.00
  • Rest of the world: $14.99 USD

You'll now be able to apply this pricing policy whenever you have a publication at $14.99 CAD.
